Coordinating your nail art with your wedding outfit and mehndi is both a design challenge and an opportunity to create a completely cohesive bridal look. At Dream Nails, we do this consultation for every bridal client — here is the framework we use.

Start with Your Outfit Colour

Red and deep pink outfits: complement with gold, champagne or nude nails rather than matching red exactly. Green outfits: emerald chrome or gold foil accents. Blue or navy: cat eye nails in navy or blue-shifting duo chrome. Ivory or cream: French tips or champagne chrome. Mustard or orange: gold chrome with rust-tone accents.

Coordinate with Your Jewellery Metal

Gold jewellery: warm tones work — champagne, rose gold chrome, gold foil. Silver jewellery: cool tones — silver chrome, cool nude, pale pink. Kundan or polki: gold foil nail art with delicate pattern work that mirrors the jewellery detail.

Planning Around Mehndi

Mehndi covers the palm and much of the finger, leaving the nail as the only visible canvas. Your nail colour must complement mehndi's warm reddish-orange tone. Deep reds, burnt orange, champagne, and gold all work beautifully alongside fresh mehndi. Very pale or very cool colours can clash.
